Senior Membership Manager

Listing description
WTTW (Chicago PBS) and WFMT (classical music radio station) are seeking a full-time Senior Membership Manager to join its Membership marketing and fundraising team. This fast-paced and results-driven position is responsible for managing the prosperous execution of a variety of fundraising campaigns and initiatives. The person in this function will develop marketing strategies to grow and retain the membership base and increase revenue for the organization The ideal candidate is passionate about the mission and value of public media, is an enthusiastic and collaborative self-starter, and is driven by developing strategies and achieving results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
   » Develop creative fundraising and direct marketing strategies to acquire, cultivate, and retain members to grow membership base and meet revenue goals.
   » Plan and manage the prosperous execution of multichannel direct marketing campaigns from start to finish, including budget, strategy, scheduling, creative including brand-aligned message development, list acquisition and segmentation, production and inventory control, and reporting/analysis.
   » In collaboration with database operations team, utilize membership database system for campaign setup and execution, list strategy and segmentation, and data mining and analysis; adhere to organizational data security policies.
   » Create and share analytics dashboards, including results and insights, across established KPIs to inform both team and continuing/future data-driven strategies and plans.
   » Direct the activities of and serve as liaison for outside direct marketing vendors (creative, data, print, mail, fundraising services, etc.).
   » Stay abreast of organization-wide programming and services to communicate value proposition to members.
   » Work with adjacent departments and functions (member/audience services, database operations, etc.) to maintain quality and integrity of member/audience relationships and database.
   » Act as a department resource for training, guidance, and accuracy.
   » Perform other tasks as assigned.
expertise/expertise REQUIRED:
   » Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and excellent organizational expertise.
   » Excellent communication and editorial expertise
   » Flexible and positive approach to work with capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to evolving priorities.
   » Facility with data and fundraising campaign performance analysis.
   » Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) expertise
   » Demonstrated practice using customer relationship management software; practice with Tessitura a plus.
MINIMUM suitable education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and practice, preferably in a nonprofit, marketing, or public media setting.
MINIMUM practice: Must have at least three years of nonprofit fundraising practice using a variety of direct response techniques. Demonstrated practice in planning and executing direct marketing campaigns.
